ALEX and ACCESS

Alabama Learning Exchange

Alabama Learning Exchange also known as ALEX is a very useful site for teachers. It has many different parts to it, including courses of study, web links, lesson plans, a search engine, personal workspace, professional learning, and podcast treasury. It includes standards for teachers to follow, lesson plans, and activities for all age groups. It also has links for other useful websites for teachers. Finally, it has a personal workspace for teachers to keep track of things like lesson plans and activities.

Alabama Connecting Classrooms, Educators, and Students Statewide

ACCESS is available to all high school students. It provides equal access to high quality instruction, an infrastructure that delivers quality learning opportunities, and greater equity for all Alabama public high school students through 21st century technology. The goal of ACCESS is to continue to meet objectives of the ACCESS plan, expanding the availability of ACCESS Distance Learning to all public high schools in the state. It provides access to advanced diploma courses, additional course offerings, Advanced Placement and dual credit courses. It also provides teachers with additional multimedia and tools to enhance instruction.
