Open Letter to Educators

An Open Letter to Educators by Morgan Bayda

This post is about teachers wasting students time by not keeping up with current times. According to this, teachers are losing the interest of their students by teaching the "old-fashioned" way. Teachers stand at the front of the room and lecture with a powerpoint while students are scribbling down facts. The students then memorize those facts for the test. These students are being schooled not educated. College students pay thousands of dollars to sit in these classes and hundreds of dollars to buy books that they never open. Then they spend hours on homework outside of class, such as readings that the teachers never even go over. According to the video in the post, students can learn more from the internet and technology, then they can in a class like this. This video has some very good points to it that can raise a lot of questions.
